La frazione di Cannitello è il limite settentrionale del comune di Villa San Giovanni. Costituisce uno dei più gradevoli e caratteristici borghi di mare della Calabria. La località si sviluppa interamente lungo la costa calabra dello Stretto ed è uno dei pochi centri abitati con abitazioni del lato mare che si affacciano direttamente sulla spiaggia, dalla quale si gode di una vista unica che spazia, nelle giornate di tempo sereno, da Capo Vaticano alle Isole Eolie.

The village of Cannitello is the northern boundary of the municipality of Villa San Giovanni.It is one of the most pleasant and characteristic seaside villages of Calabria.The site runs entirely along the Calabrian coast of the Strait and is one of the few towns with houses facing the sea side on the beach, which enjoys a unique view that stretches, in the days of clear weather, from Capo Vaticano Aeolian Islands.
